I have shifted from “accelerationism is bad” to “people (in the US/West) are too stupid/ignorant to ever change without a drastic reduction in material conditions.”

This sucks. Guess where I live? My life is 100% going to get harder. That’s not me whining. It’s just objectively true. And yet, I can see from the reaction of liberals over my lifetime that they will absolutely never ever change from the ruts they’ve been told to walk in. The only thing that can change them, apparently, is external forces. Whether that be brute force or a collection of economic forces, doesn’t matter, they won’t accept reality without one or both.

The reality I’m referring to, of course, being the domination of the world by neoliberalism. It doesn’t matter if the R or D man is in office. They have the same fucking goals. Destroy (slowly or quickly- same goal) all “good” things in order to put more pressure on workers in order to divide them further from each other and, importantly, workers elsewhere in the world. Destroy already defunct or underserved safety nets (basically zero in the US. All underfunded or “shit” on purpose) making every single person without extreme wealth open to destruction at the whim of an employer or landlord. I mean, this is already the case, created and worsened under Reagan, Bush, Clinton did a fuckload of damage, etc. It’s just now instead of targeting (made up) “welfare” “cheats” or “queens” they’re blowing up… Dept of Ed. USAID. Whatever else they arbitrarily decide on. Piece by piece eliminating or privatizing everything until everyone is fully and totally reliant on, again, employers and landlords. Even more than now, as unbelievable as that seems.

The goals and actions of Harris and Trump are exactly the fucking same but with the slight difference of maybe Trump is going faster and more openly at it. Yet, ask democrats or generally “anti-Trump” liberals what was Biden’s goal or plan in Gaza. “I dunno.” “Well, not to occupy it!” etc. They’re fully coping. Delusional! They saw (everyone saw it even if they didn’t want to) the genocide and destruction of Gaza which only ever had ONE end goal: permanent annexation and settlement by Israel. Biden was going to do that. He was doing it. Harris refused to differ from him. She was going to do it. You don’t allow people to carpet bomb an area in nothing then bring in bulldozers to reshape the land and cover debris and corpses without being aware “Oh, they’re landscaping. Prepping the land for rebuilding.” What the fuck else do they think the bulldozers are for??? They use them in the West Bank constantly. They rip down existing homes and build settlements for Israelis. None of this is a secret. But look how democrats, the most obnoxious liberals are saying “Aha! See! Trump is being worse!” No. He’s just being more honest. That’s all it’s ever been. Anyone who was ever deluded by the most lying-ass president perhaps in my life (saying a lot!) Genocide Joe Biden telling them “No, no, no. Of course Israel won’t settle Gaza!” is a purposeful moron. I’m sorry but not sorry. They are full on idiots. The man who lied about mass rapes, beheaded babies, who cast doubt on murder numbers by Israel in Gaza, who never spoke out against actual mass rape by Israeli soldiers on innocent Gazans, the list is infinitely long… that guy was totally not lying about permanent annexation. This is what they want us to accept along with them.

So, for that reason among many, it’s just gotta happen. It’s happening anyway as long as capitalists run the country. Maybe more slowly. Maybe it could be less harmful domestically. But it’s happening regardless in the long run. Trump is doing it. That’s reality now. The liberals are still coping. I guess he has to turn the screws harder… I have no doubt he will. How long will they keep coping? Probably longer than most of us will survive, if I’m being realistic. But at this point what the fuck else is possible? They refuse to accept that the entire system, capitalism, neoliberal governments, is the problem.

So, how’s everyone else doing?
