When your political party has to ban thought there ought to be some questions as to why you support said party.

because they think it doesn’t hurt them as much as it hurts others…

Banning something from kids is absolutely the best way to keep them from doing it. That’s why kids don’t underage drink, smoke, have the sex, or any of the other things we forbid.

Agreed. I definitely had zero access to drugs, alcohol, or cigarettes growing up. And teenagers famously hate sex because they’ve been told that it’s bad. That’s why there’s no money in substances and porn.

The people banning books have always been the good guys historically. Totally dont go read about that in a book.

It’s largely how the christian cult gained such insane power in Europe after the fall of the roman empire. They controlled who could read and write, and about what. These are insane cultists who should be locked up in asylums.

Can’t let kids know about sex until they’re old enough for catholic priests and MAGA republicans to lose interest in them - will someone think of the children diddlers!?

Disgusting, and a that librarian says in the article - it is only going to get worse…

Very well, we will give proper education outside of the schools.

These articles never seem to include excerpts from said books. This is not sex-ed books they’re banning. There’s quite graphic depictions of acts of sex in these. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to not want literal children to read that kind of stuff.

If a highschool student cannot be instructed on Shakespeare without it being a crime, the law is too far gone to be reasonable in anyway. The same goes for Brave New World and A Handmaid’s Tale. There are graphic depictions of sex in many major works of literature and we need to quit pretending teenagers don’t know what sex is or that reading about it will indelibly harm them.
