The problem is that, while it’s easily disproven, the majority of people who read his statement will take it at face value, and because his platform is so large, it would take a lot of people disproving his claim to have even a fraction of the same reach.

People with appreciably large platforms or loud microphones can spread disinformation with no recourse, and there’s really no effective way to counter it. I don’t know what the solution to this is, but it’s a huge problem and has been for quite some time.

Those who can provably disprove it and have standing should sue. We’ve bankrupted Lindell, we can power a new American economy purely by suing delusional rich assholes… and it’ll actually get them to shut up unlike calmly explaining why they’re wrong.

It wouldn’t stop them from posting, but it would stop them from having monopolistic control and the power to amplify those lies with impunity.

This prick has become on of the most dangerous people in the country. He’s eager to agree with any senseless right wing conspiracy theory and boosts them on his platform, responding with very thought-free one word replies like “yup”, “exactly”, “concerning” or “!!”. It doesn’t seem like he has the mental power or any desire to assess whether some claims are true, such as his assertion to Don Lemon that undocumented people being counted on the census unfairly boosted the representation numbers for California - totally ignoring that the same would be true for Texas and Florida, as if no immigrants live in “red” states. Same with the “Democrats are mass-importing voters!!”. I don’t think he even cares if this tripe is true, as long as he gets to slam Democrats and rile up conservatives. The panic he’s trying to inspire with the “illegals voting!!” BS is predicated on the assumption that immigrants would all vote for democrats, which isn’t even true.

For the most part it has clean water, proper sewage, stable electricity, and is relatively disease free

That puts it above a fair number of options

Most other countries are pushing to improve things though. The states currently seems (from an outsider perspective) actively regressive, currently.

Also the fact you say “for the most part”, speaks volumes.

Also trips over himself every opportunity trying to advocate “peace deals” with Putin despite the absolute certainty that Russia would continue to attack Ukraine in the future just like they did after Crimea.

He’s gotten so used to substituting confidence for actual knowledge/insight that he has had to seek refuge amongst gullible right-wing idiots and a moat of blue checkmarks in order to present the image of an audience that takes him seriously and doesn’t constantly dunk on all the stupid shit he says.

He’s essentially Joe Rogan but richer. Rogan will have every liar and peddler of misinformation on his platform, let’s them spew lies while he goes “makes sense” or “I never thought of it that way” and legitimizes the bullshit. Musk and Rogan are cut from the same cloth

        Yes, it’s definitely possible.

How Dangerous Is a Ketamine Overdose?

Taking a sizeable amount or consuming any amount from a strong batch of ketamine could lead to an overdose. According to the Alcohol and Drug Foundation3, the risk of death from ketamine alone is not high. However, a toxic amount of ketamine can still cause health problems. Most ketamine-related problems are due to mixing ketamine with other drugs, such as alcohol, GHB, and MDMA. People who have done this report symptoms like experiencing an altered consciousness, dizziness, stomach pain, increased heart rate, high blood pressure, and even urinary tract issues. People who have existing cardiac conditions or hypertension are at greater risk when consuming too much ketamine. The reason for this is that ketamine increases cardiac output, raises blood pressure, and can cause your heart to race. If you are already struggling with an existing cardiac or heart condition, it is best to avoid consuming ketamine or other mind-altering substances. When overdoses do occur, it’s typically when ketamine levels are too high in the bloodstream. If the body cannot safely break down the toxins, it will start to shut down. This could lead to a dangerous reaction, and it could even be fatal if there isn’t immediate medical intervention. We aren’t completely sure what could lead to a toxic buildup or overdose of ketamine. Factors, as we mentioned before, vary from person to person. Toxic buildup can occur because of the body’s inability to break down the ketamine due to an individual’s body mass, age, underlying medical or mental health conditions, and other genetic factors that could play a role. As mentioned earlier, those who have cardiac or heart issues should stay away from ketamine since complications can occur. The way ketamine is ingested can also increase the odds of an overdose. Snorting a copious amount of ketamine can send the substance into the bloodstream faster and raise the risk for an overdose. Toxicology reports from individuals who died after using ketamine for recreational purposes found that doses between 0.1 and 7 mgl/l were present in the bloodstream when they died, according to the Emerging Health Threats4 Journal5.

This is the best summary I could come up with:

Texas Secretary of State Jane Nelson yesterday issued a statement debunking claims of widespread voter fraud that were amplified by X owner Elon Musk on the social network formerly named Twitter.

Election officials in two other states also disputed the “extremely false” information shared by Musk.

Musk is generally a big fan of Texas, but on Tuesday he shared a post by the account “End Wokeness” that claimed, “The number of voters registering without a photo ID is SKYROCKETING in 3 key swing states: Arizona, Texas, and Pennsylvania.”

Nelson’s statement on the Texas government’s website called the claim “totally inaccurate.”

It is totally inaccurate that 1.2 million voters have registered to vote in Texas without a photo ID this year.

“And we have fewer than 35,000 registrants (out of 4.1 million registered voters in Arizona) who haven’t provided documented proof of citizenship.”
