That’s from the numbers that the UN is using. I’m not sure what you consider to be an “independent” journalist, but in any case, things would probably be more clear if Israel stopped targeting and killing journalists and their families.

Heres some simple information. Gazas population was over 50 percent under 18. I.e. children.
It’s within reasonable margin to divide the casualties by two to get the number of dead children.
