It’s genuinely bizarre how much the pig poo pic riles these people up, honesty I always thought it was one of our novice level memes, but these dipshits are actually pressed over it lmao wtf

Oh yeah you really have to see it deployed in action to appreciate it. On it’s own it doesn’t look like much but when you see how angry it makes people to see their bad faith nonsense shut down in such a dismissive way you appreciate the beauty.

Tbf it gets annoying when it’s the full size image being spammed 20 times in a row. In my app, it remains full size so it takes some scrolling to get past the Poopballs.

Apparently thats a bug due to how Hexbear’s emojis were translated over to the main Lemmy. I think our version scales them down to emoji size but the other Lemmy’s display them at full resolution, something like that. Apparently the smart people who know things are trying to get a fix pushed soon.

It’s a kind of vulgarity they probably don’t encounter anywhere else. Usually internet vulgarity involves screaming slurs of some kind.

Whereas PPB dismisses their argument, or lack thereof, without shitting on anyone but it’s own balls. It doesn’t compare them to a marginalize group, it doesn’t accuse them of being shills, it doesn’t say they’re a bot, it doesn’t accuse them of being any of the stuff the GOP constantly scream.

It’s extremely vulgar, but how should you respond to it? there’s no script for it. It’s not harmful. It’s just vulgar in a way that transgresses lib civility norms. So what do they do about it? Well, the complain, because it’s new and upsetting and they don’t have a ready made response or dismissal.
