    I get that I might be off base but it’s still not clear to me why people think Elon has a ton of power now that he didn’t previously. Trump’s presidency doesn’t translate into Elon’s power because Trump already got what he wanted and has no loyalty whatsoever. I thought it seemed pretty likely that this relationship was doomed because neither personality is able to restrain their own damaging bullshit and stay focused on their goals so why would they work well together?

      Yeah people seem to forget that under the first Trump term, every other week there would be a new wormtongue sweet talking Trump into his or her idea of what to do, and then Trump would get bored or annoyed with them and move on to another advisor.

      The short answer is the chuds love him and so he can put pressure on reps with the bully pulpit

      Musk I think is happy to be a sycophant, he spends basically all his time on Twitter grovelling for attention, I don’t see him taking issue with playing second fiddle to trump. We will see
