Just watched Solaris and did not enjoy it. It was close to three hours but literally nothing happens in those three hours. So much of it is just atmospheric shots and no plot. And the misogynistic tropes made me ick in real life. Now I wish I played games instead of watching this.

I’ve been slowly chipping away at theory. Is it just me or some of the old works are just really hard to understand, I feel really slow having to listen to the audiobook, then read it, then reread it sometimes even read it for a third time to understand. I feel really stupid, I have to translate so many words and search phrases and read threads in the middle of the book just to understand something and it ruins the pace too.

To condemn socialist revolutions and I’d argue even national liberations for protecting themselves from the siege that ensues the moment they succeed in their struggle is a deeply unserious take. So many of struggles across the world have been snuffed out in varying stages of their existence, and only those who centralized power had even a chance of living to see another day. The fault of these supposed leftists is to see socialism under siege and not condemn the empire but the victims of the empire and label them as “authoritarian”, “totalitarian”, “autocratic”, “regime” and so on. And then to romanticize the many failed revolutions and struggles because they didn’t even survive in the first place for them to condemn them later. it might be nice sitting in the safety of inaction and condemning everyone else for showing any resistance to empire and global capitalism while agreeing all the time with US sate department.

From what little I gathered all of the parties are zionists (except maybe a couple of really small ones) and the major arab parties are either picked by the the Israelis directly or they’re just thoothless and “tolarated”. So the rightwing notion that “the arabs are stealing the election” and the liberal one “arabs are participating at record numbers” is just bullshit liberal democracy song and dance since it really doesn’t matter at the end of the day.

I have a question, are all the arab parties collaborators? because I really don’t see any reason they would allow a genuine advocate for Palestinians in knesset, not that it would amount to anything but still.

Can someone explain the right to bear arms in communist spaces. I get that it’s to have a protection against oppression among other reasons but I mean people still going to kill each other look at the US for example and suicide is gonig to rise too, So I’m not really sure if it’s worth the damage is going to do to society.

Look I know it’s not in people’s nature to commit gun violence it’s the symptoms of the system and lack of any support for mentally struggling people but at the same time I look at myself and if I had gun I would do it too. that’s the reason I don’t fully get it still.
