  • Lol. I hate how much this is like 1984 because I dislike people using it as an example all of the time. But between this and the “America First” shit, wherein tariffs are being levied against everyone, the logical conclusion is that Trump wants to close down the US, go self-reliant, and have citizens be too placated by propaganda to do anything about it.

However, this is a shitty idea and it won’t go to plan, so he’ll just end up with stupid people who can’t even work the factories needed to not have this culminate in a mass economic disaster. Anyone smart enough to care should leave the country ASAP because it won’t get better. Other countries should be revamping their refugee programs to benefit from the brain drain.

  • Most incels and femcels do not meet their own standards of beauty, emotionality, and sociality. This is partly why they hate themselves so much and project that hate onto archetypes like Chad and Stacy. A lot of blackpilled incels genuinely believe they are unlovable and will be forever alone — any partner of those people will not be treated well since there’s an inherent lack of trust/belief in the relationship.

Not to mention that depressed/self-loathing people dating each other is a really bad idea and results in shitty relationships and emotional turmoil. Sometimes these couples become codependent and then they’re together for years even though they dislike each other. It doesn’t necessarily help anyone get better, it often makes it harder to work on yourself because of the “crabs in a bucket” mentality.

  • So SEGA and Konami (the corporation) knew about it. Let’s assume that. Are there records or interviews (from studios, individual developers, games historians, etc.) from that time on record saying they played and enjoyed it?

Simultaneous/independent invention in a highly experimental and novel industry is way more likely to me, but if you can produce some sort of proof of influence on studios that explicitly iterated on what 005 did, then that’s much more convincing than a Guinness World Record that only “proves” they were first (historically, they did barely any fact-checking and, in some cases, you could bribe them).

It also hurts the credibility of the article for it to say “people liked it,” and then not link to any sources like reviews or sales numbers. How can I know that anyone liked it unless I do independent verification of these claims? It’s striving to be informative but with a “trust me bro” type of approach.

  • We didn’t make a czar, we are changing the title of a position that already exists. Just because Trump is a bully doesn’t mean he can’t be placated by sweet nothings that caress his ego.

If Trump wants to play a game, we can play too. If you think that’s rolling over, that’s a you problem. Trump is obviously using this situation to allow him to declare a false national emergency to bypass Congress. These actions are technically illegal under both US and international law.

In a world where lying had consequences, this wouldn’t be happening. To expect Trudeau to fight back aggressively against a nation with the most powerful military in the world while it’s controlled by the most volatile and capricious politician in modern history is to expect it to rain cream soda - i.e., it’s stupid.

  • Oh, interesting; that wasn’t my experience at all. There were popular/preppy girls that played sports, but there was a separate type of girl that played multiple sports and made it, like, part of their identity like the guys did. Didn’t really have a name for them, though.

I guess “jock” would work for a girl/woman, but if you said “I hooked up with a jock last night,” everyone would assume you meant a guy. So it’s not really a gender neutral term.

  • To actually address the question, it’s because commercial buildings don’t (generally) meet residential building code requirements, even if there’s a kitchenette and a shower, etc. They are simply not meant for the same purpose or to be occupied 24/7 unless they were engineered that way from the start, which is exceedingly rare. A lot of office buildings have floor-to-ceiling windows and complex HVAC systems simply to make sure people aren’t cold, breathing stale air, or too humid/dry, so they also use a lot of energy.
