well that didn’t take long. my first thought when i heard the news of that scRotus decision was “what they gonna do? run pregnancy tests at entry?”

for me, it depends on the shoes.

sneakers (including black ones when i had them), get white socks. my black shoes that aren’t sneakers get black socks.

and right now i don’t have any other shoes, or any other socks for that matter.

sony probably figures they can get away with pulling all this shit since what else ya gonna do? buy a new gaming pc? at literally double or more what they cost last summer?

i remember hooking ours up to a 10th gen celeron desktop (supposedly 58w cpu).

the whole box doesn’t even hit 20w at the wall under a full load, and it idles awake at about 5w.

i immediately set that one aside for future use to feed media to a tv or run a dietpi or something.

smart window is some new privacy-respecting ‘ai’ stuff most won’t probably use. i do see some potential, but it’s not for me.

gonna keep the ai switch turned off here, except for the on-device translations because i use that one nearly every day.

they win the dumb-as-fuck vote. and thanks to the decades-old war against public education waged by republicants, there’s more and more of them every day.

the reinforced a-pillar doesn’t even make the ‘top 10’ of what the ‘problems’ are with traffic and vehicles in the u.s.

it’s all i have now is a ‘portable’ one with the vent running to the window. the cheap window units just don’t last, was buying a new one every couple years. very small flat, so it’s enough.

the neighbor, in a similarly-sized space has two window units in now, side by side (and inside, they’d be in the same room). it looks absolutely ridiculous from the outside.

just replace the old ‘punch the monkey’ with certain other faces…

and you’d get clicks like crazy.

what would get her to switch would be finding a carrier that actually worked at her house. vzn doesn’t, tm doesn’t, need to find someone around here with at&t to try but there really isn’t anyone around here that does use them.
