Dunno if this counts, but the day I finished reading The Kaiju Preservation Society I found myself visiting someone else’s house, and what do I find in the bathroom? A painting of Godzilla. To this day, I wonder how they knew to put it there.

Have you read any books on the climate crisis that you particularly enjoyed, or that gave you good insight?

I should really revisit it with a different lens, because all I remember at this point is that I finished it quickly and “eat the rich” is a good step 1, but Birnam Wood has at least some tangential themes.

If it weren’t for the implication that AI is somehow involved, I’d be curious whether this is a musical genre or a fashion fad.

The number of times I’ve had to explain to people that having something decrease by 50% and then increase by 50% still results in a decrease (and still not had people understand) makes this entirely unsurprising.
