11·10 months agoTwo things can be true at the same time:
- I am grateful you are using your time to develop free and open source software without gaining anything in return.
- Being pissed at people asking for support for something you didn’t make, do not give you a free pass on being an asshole by changing your license

Your post history and mod logs are also quite weird.

5·1 year agoNot meaning to attack here but there’s an entire page o wikipedia talking about Denmark in World War 2.
They basically tried to not take sides/stay neutral and ended up being invaded by Germany.
Very good read, thank you for sharing!
I used to love it but now I love using Readeck way more!
In my opinion SO has been replaced by forges discussions/issues. Whenever I have an issue with some library or piece of software, I will always check their repo to see if someone is going through the same thing or how they solved it.
When I tried to engage with SO it was a pain in the ass so I just stopped answering/asking.

Piracy@lemmy.ml•How to block Stremio peers from qBittorrent?English
11·1 year agoThank you for the detailed reply.
I am indeed considering using the peerbanhelper. I will install it and see how it works.
I didn’t say DHT was strictly something specific to Stremio. I mentioned it was what was being suggested by people trying to solve the issue, but I indeed didn’t find anything to support it.
I changed the upload choking algorithm, thank you for the suggestion.
I am aware of !piracy@lemmy.dbzer0.com but I’d rather avoid the AI slop.

Privacy@lemmy.ml•Netflix Puts AI Ads in Paid Tier: Pirate Everything at This Point
51·1 year agoI used Stremio for a while and then I discovered it doesn’t seed and it is just a leech. Since then we have a Jellyfin server at home and we are able to watch everything in 4K without having to worry if the movie will play smoothly.
If I could, I would stop seeding to all the Stremio clients out there. Whenever someone brings up the seed issue most of the people say they don’t care.

61·1 year agoY’all are forgetting how hostile Mastodon users can be. Personally I feel a little bit scared of posting anything there.
Thank you for the reply! Do you mind sharing where you got the files from?
Did you print the parts yourself or you got them from somewhere else? I want to go 10’’ but it seems a little bit hard to find the parts I have in mind here in Canada
