I love this sketch! Great work with the shadows and light.

2·8 hours agoFrom one dust catcher to an other. :) Why not? If those machines are actually scrap this gives them a new way of life.
Thank you! The drawing was based on an obsidian rock surface. I’m really happy it came through the way I wanted! :)
I was thinking even more about my og idea so I tortured an llm making a map just to understand the scope. It is enormous. And explains a lot.
Ai generated map incoming:

For sure not accurate, but I find the idea fascinating
It’s the parts you can’t recognize!
Awesome! You did a great job!
Yet is the key word! I tried the lite version of it, and … I gave up after couple of hours. It is definitely a hard skill to master :).
Leather working is on my list also. I’ve found a store in my area and it is just something else! So much raw potential!
Did you use a kit or did everything from scratch for this project?
I tried to make it minimal, the trees were intentionally scritch-scratched :).
Because I don’t like ink it is really a challenge to push myself to do it. I bet I improved in this last 20 days - but it is painful :D. With ink if you make a decision you have to commit to it - there is no undo…Right now I am big into lace jewelry.
I prefer graphite over ink, but digital is the easiest way to create. Either painting or using InkScape to create vectorized art over a sketch. And I do like torturing innocent LLMs to make me tools for my crafts also :) this isn’t art but I definitely call it a creative process.
Really cute bag! Perfect size for not too small and not too big!
Did you make the strap also?
Card weaving is such magic!
Appreciate it! :). InkTober is really a challenge, because it is not my choice of medium.
Thank you!
I did use a reference. It is loosely based on a screenshot from lotro, it’s the Min-Rimmon beacon.Even though I played the game, honestly I don’t recall it anymore. I played on release so it was couple of blinks ago. (2007 … The game almost able to drink in the us … Pfffft)
I’ll let the last sticker to do the heavy lifting ;)
That’s a great idea!
I wAs hesitating between arrows pointing at the observer or a mirror, but I think I am going with something else…
Good old avoidance - this InkTober just not that great with the topics. I’m still trying to synthesize my idea…
I was considering your choice also :D
I should’ve had put it on a brick rooad - bricks labeled “good intention #234” :)
Glad you enjoyed it!

I looked into classical Singers because I saw one in a thrift store couple of months ago. I was very tempted, the price wasn’t right - and I already have a modern Singer that I don’t use (enough).
These old machines are just pure magic. The engineering the hand crafted design, and those painted ornaments…
And that’s why I’m hesitant to embrace this video.
But again if they are scrap they can be scrap as a car for the same usefulness :)
