Asking someone if they have time to talk, no response is the same as a “no”.

Asking someone “Hey I wanna go to this concert on Friday, should I buy two tix and we’ll go together?” means you need an immediate response or you’re either going to miss the concert or piss off your friend.

The purpose of being polite is to reduce social frictions.

The newest artist I got into is Amélie Farren, who came out with some singles and a debut album last year.

But the artist I got into most recently is Chicago’s own Beach Bunny, whose 2025 album Tunnel Vision I’ve been listening to on repeat for weeks now, along with the single “Year of the Optimist”, which: if you’re going to check out one song from them, that’s the one IMO.
