Non-stop has its upsides, too. Not having to go through security would be the biggest for me.

I think I’d have to try it out next time I fly to Oz; Qantas wasn’t offering those non-stop flights last time I checked but I’m sure they will by the time I finally get my visa (so I guess next year or so)

As someone who has flown from London to Sydney, I’d say that you need that one stop to stretch your legs a bit and kinda relax a bit from being in a rather cramped space with strangers next to you. Plus Changi (Singapore) is a nice airport to just look at and walk around anyway.
