So Sweden, Finland, and Ireland are all Third world because of their neutrality. The term has drifted to a meaningless term and usually just means ‘poor’ or ‘evil’ depend on context. I wish words still had meanings.

He’s a mobile lawsuit machine and sues everyone so I avoid him like the plague. For example, he totaled a rental because hes an insane driver and blamed the rental company and got a big settlement. He was perfectly fine. He was also caught selling weed in college and was expelled but he sued the college for defamation because they brought him on campus in cuffs. The college backed down and he graduated somehow after 7+ years. He now TEDx talks and claims hes a lecturer at a university in poland because he gave a talk once. If I showed you a picture, you would instantly identify that he is a guy who does a lot of cocaine and does business.

I think browser companies see the impending doom of the web as we know it. With Sam Alman peddling the weird eye scanning orb that completely de-anonymized you from the internet (world.org). The bots that openai are championing will ruin the internet through sheer volume of garbage once they reach a commodifiable scale. Then you have openai making all sorts of backroom deals so their technology is the only technology that can run unencumbered, challenging cloudflare’s market power of effectively middlemanning the internet, by moving it to a browser level. We already have new search engine optimization startups for businesses but its for LLMs which is inherently non-human. AI browsers won’t improve our experience, we’re getting them because the web is transitioning to something that isn’t for humans, its for bots to navigate so you can buy a new airfrier with the least friction.

The economics make a ton more sense in Shanghi where electricty cost $0.07/kwh vs my city (san francisco) which is $0.60, almost 10x more. There’s only 2 charging stations with 8 spots each in my neighborhood of 60,000 people(!), neither of which you can park your car overnight.

The government needs to pull a lot of levers before a capital solution is viable. But there is just no threat that gas prices will go up within the lifespan of the car (next 8 years), and gas prices are low relative to US income. Couple that with poor infrastructure for EVs and it’s a non-starter for the majority of americans, regardless of price.

It’s antitrust stuff, which is the government’s thinly veiled threat to tell businesses to do the right thing and play nice or get dismantled. Hasn’t really been enforced in ages and now nobody is afraid of just openly committing market collusion, pricing fixing schemes, and fraud. Specifically, this is collusion to do anticompetitive price discrimination, which is a crime (Robinson-Patman Act (1936)).

The idea that you can invent or create something and then reap the rewards for it to create stable employment for yourself is no longer a thing that exists. Anything valuable that you create as an individual will be either copied or straight up stolen by a better capitalized firm.
