Yes it’s sad and old but there’s about 8" of it. There’s an attic vent in the roof and a vapor barrier in the crawlspace.

Attic is vented but it does little good without a decent wind. Crawlspace is slightly cooler than outside ambient air, call it 85° in June. The same wind that would help the attic would also remove the cool from the crawlspace I think? Attic is insulated with old old blown fiberglass and then a layer of newer rolled fiberglass - not terrible insulation actually. Also the crawlspace is insulated from the house with spray foam insulation.

If you solved a shocking outlet then that’s the most important & dangerous thing put to bed. Kudos & good job. Next time it doesn’t have to be an outdoor box, a cheap handy box would have worked. Also if your circuit has yellow (20 amp) Romex then all of it should be 20 amp wire. I just had to fix this very thing in a remodel where I added a couple of outlets. Inspectors jump on stuff like this but you’re home free…well until you sell

Dull Men's Club@lemmy.world•Throughout the day my left sock slowly rotates around
5·11 days agoI have a brand of shorts (Lucky) that I liked so I bought another pair several months later. Both rotate to the left during the day, about an inch and a half. No idea why. No other shorts I own do this. Is there a kinesiologist with a minor in sewing that I could talk to?
I’ve driven as far as NE Florida to Birmingham and Fla to Maryland in my Tesla. On a long trip, I basically have to take 30 or 40 minutes to charge after 3 or 4 hours of driving. This is fine with me. 98% of my driving is when I’ve charged at home.
With an EV, I’m also trading for a vehicle with: 1/10 the number of moving parts, basically zero maintenance besides tires, no noise, no emissions, and no gas to buy. EVs are not at all perfect but they are way smarter than ICE vehicles right now.
I suspect Tesla is rejecting charging your car because it’ll take away a spot for faster charging cars…and it’ll take that spot away for longer.

I steamed some mahogany about 20 years ago so I don’t remember much except: keep the wood off the bottom of the steam chamber, water will collect there. I tried thicker, but it didn’t work until my piece was only about 1/2 thick.
