I think that many people, like myself, aren’t going to want to follow a bare link to reddit, or even a link to reddit at all.

What I have seen here in general is a screenshot and then a link in the description to the original thread, and sometimes additional images in the description. Generally there is also text describing the image, for those of us without the ability to see the image.

I know new users are not able to upload images on some instances, so that may not work.
