Yeah they’re really not in a hurry 🙁

It’s happened again: I’ve just made a long technical post and it was basically for nothing as it doesn’t appear in the remote instance here. It’s such a fucking PITA…

      Come on SDF!

Can anyone give an update on when sdf will move to the new version?

That’s the understatement of the century. Posting long comments with many links and trying to argue something in them, and seeing them disappear into the ether gets old really fast, and is really a buzzkill.

There’s a part of me that feels a bit philosophical about it, like, there’s something zen about the fact that all this time I thought I was being ignored, it’s because I was talking into a void and didn’t know it. Obviously I don’t want it to stay broken, but it puts an interesting perspective on my social media use lol

          LOL I feel this.

I’m more frustrated in principle than in practice. I really want Lemmy (and the rest of the fediverse) to become mainstream. These growing pains aren’t that big a deal to me, but they do make me realize that Lemmy is still in early stages of development and isn’t quite ready to dethrone corporate platforms. I love it, but I’m…you know, a giant nerd. Like most of us here. I tolerate a lot of janky technology because it’s interesting or serves some other compelling purpose for me, but the jank is real.

My uneducated expectation is that this will fix a perceived (but not confirmed) issue of comments not populating… anyone know if this is correct?
