          This user has been quite active in plenty of communities for a while, and you can tell that they are familiar with our format. We have no issues with this post, and it doesn’t violate our community rules.

          These kinds of posts are not necessarily ill-intentioned. Sometimes people might want to support a community with content and they may be having a hard time finding something. Then sharing a product that works for them becomes their way of supporting, and easily fits the format. We can absolutely tolerate that since we’re all just getting started at the moment, and things need to stay afloat(with content). More than that, it’s quite lovely that a person would show any effort at supporting a community at all. Things will eventually settle down and the rules for YSKs will get more serious over time, but we’re not there yet. As long as they’re not the majority of posts it’s all good.

            Thank you for this. I even double-checked the rules beforehand to male sure I wasn’t breaking any.

            Also it is definitely not ill-mentioned. As I already said I am NOT affiliate with them and everyone can clearly see there are not affiliated links in my posts.

            Some friends of mine recommended this website to me and I’ve been simply enjoying it for the reasons I’ve explained in the post.

          I joined lemmy a year ago when there was basically no content, I came back when the APIcalypse happened and since then I’ve tried to do my best to interact with lots of communities and users to try and make this project grow. I’ve even donated to lemmy amd my own istance. That’s some really unfair claim you’re moving to me

    (assuming good intent) I’ve had good luck with online secondhand marketplaces. I know my sizes in my preferred brands.

    I’ve had the best luck with shoes–my favorite brand only has a few base models and doesn’t take returns once the shoe’s been worn outside. So, it’s easy to search for, say, [brand] size 6.5 loafer and be certain they’ll fit like my other size 6.5 loafers.
