Shawn Arcidino from Atomic Collision said the bike lanes made parking cars in front of his shop hard … “I’m not anti-bike lane. I want everyone to be happy, but I also don’t want you to come in here and tell me, ‘this is what you’re going to like,’” Arcidino said.

    It sucks.

In Midtown KC we have some great bike lanes, well-designed. Either there’s a concrete curb protecting the lane or they’ve set it up so where there was once a driving lane, cars can now parallel park next to the bike lane, and end up serving as a physical barrier.

And TBH, we all know the gas prices are never going back down. Bike lanes should be proliferating MORE quickly now, not less, because bikes and e-transportation are only going to become more attractive options in the coming years.

Arcidino saw two rear-end crashes in front of his shop after the bike lane installation.

Probably two assholes who parked in the middle of the street to “just run in for a sec.”

So, basically, he wants to have bike lanes but, like, magical bike lanes that don’t take up any space or impinge on car traffic in any way.
