I think there might be a strange situation with the Russiagate stuff, so many libs have built their entire identity around hating Russia that I can’t really imagine it going well when their talking heads admit that it was all made up, they’d probably just deny reality. The whole Russiagate thing was supposedly Russia influencing the election by using Meta/Google platform and the companies did fucking nothing. If it’s clear that the companies don’t give a single fuck, why wouldn’t they use these companies’ infrastructure?
And the Facebook Files demonstrated pretty clearly that Meta knows what they are doing.
But I’m also hesitant about suggesting stronger regulations because that will primarily target left wing activism.
