R.I.P Mr Singh.

You were the first non-US/English/Scottish/Welsh/Irish accent we got[1]

  1. with exception to Deanna’s faux eastern european accent that she thankfully dropped ↩︎

Well damn. That kinda negates a funny bit on an Indian talk show that happened some years ago. Sir Patrick Stewart was on the show during his “don’t ask me about Star Trek,” phase. The host acknowledged that he didn’t like being asked, and then said, “however we must know, why are there no Indians on The Enterprise? Does the 24th century not need tech support?” Sir Patrick laughed, and the clip cut, so I don’t know if he ever answered.

I love that, and yeah pretty classic that the Mr Singh was an engineer (though, to be fair, there’s a 1 in 4 chance that any member at any time is wearing a yellow shirt)

What the fuck is up with those consoles? Do they have to erupt and shock you? We just can’t have buttons that don’t explode?

I never hear them talk about Voltage or Current. It’s always levels or readings, like our fundamental understanding of electricity doesnt apply to them anymore, the smug bastards
