It would make more sense if the bee stayed or the rain let up. Rain is life-threatening to bees.
When it rains, they immediately find cover and dry their wings by flapping them while on the ground until the rain stops.
It would make more sense if it was reversed tbh. Fungi love it wet, bees don’t. And the bee has suddenly a geed day because of the fungi.
You made it even harder to ignore that their roles also need to be reversed. So I fixed it:

Fungus is happy because it dropped spores on the bee.
This hit’s home a little right now… I have resolved to stop complaining as a bondig-mechanism to other people. No commiseration for me. I want to ask them what they enjoyed on the last weekend or “What’s something that interests you?” and suchlike. Everyone is coming away happier from those talks and you learn a lot of neat stuff about people. Also I love it when somebody nerds out on a topic they are interested in.
