Reminds me of my father in law, a devout catholic. He explained to me how it was a sign of intelligence and cultural development that civilizations moved from thousands of deities to hundreds of gods and then finally to one god. Thus Catholics are culturally on a higher level. I didn’t burst his bubble, but by that reasoning, moving from one God to zero Gods is the greatest step an individual can take.
