The more than 80 tons of raw pork, beef and goat were packaged and sold with fake USDA labels, according to FSIS, and were not actually properly inspected by the agency. As a result, the 167,639 pounds of recalled meat could be contaminated or contain undisclosed ingredients or allergens.

Gonna copy my comment from another other thread on this, but if the prices, animal ethics, and environmental effects weren’t enough to push people towards plant-based diets, maybe more meat recalls will do the trick
(or I guess plant-based diets that exclude lettuce anyway)
