I actually think 20 days in jail, a life skills class, and two years of supervised probation is a reasonable sentence given a 21-year-old with a son to provide for.

The actual problem as I see it is that this sentence seems relatively light in the US for a string of car break-ins and probably has more to do with favoritism than with serious concern for rehabilitation. A young, unconnected black man in the same position would be deserving of years in prison for the same crime to the average white, racist Republican.

TL;DR: Utter hypocrisy.
