The researchers defined fatigue in this study as people saying yes when asked if they had felt “very tired or exhausted.” In 2024, a total of 71.5% of respondents said they were fatigued in the preceding three months. Of these, 54.9% said they had fatigue some days, 10.7% said it was most days, and 5.9% felt it every day.
If you’re part of that 15-20%, think about going to the doctor for it. Many incredibly common and treatable things can cause fatigue or make it worse. Sleep apnea if you’re overweight, iron deficiency if you have a uterus, depression and anxiety if you pay attention to the world and have a conscience. Life can be hard, but life with untreated disease is even harder.
This is the point of all the chaos. You can’t fight back now. Stay vigilant, maintain awareness, and keep on, keeping on.

Im not so much exhaused as I would just like one month where something expensive doesn’t break. I had to spend $400 on one vehicle, then $200 on another, then my EV gave me an error and its a problem I could easily fix but nobody sells the parts, and then today I was going to work and my motorcycle broke down and it needs, you guessed it, a $300 part.
Yes it would be really cool if there was some kind of public transport.

No shit I am burned out and ready to just quit and live in my Suv for 4 to 5 months and just travel around trying enjoy life.

Maybe you should have spent more of your time advocating for your interests against the wealthy and powerful who are making you into exhausted slaves and early corpses.
We’re going to look back at this current time of exhaustion as “the good days before it got worse”.

I “joke” all the time: Now that I’ve been laid off from work, I’ve never been busier. I can’t even say all the extra stuff crept up on me, per se, it’s been like the concept of punctuated equilibrium where there are sudden and dramatic new tasks/projects/responsibility falling in my lap all at once, things will maintain at that level for a bit, maybe looking at getting a break soon, then the next set of things comes at me.
So, yes, I’m exhausted. Fortunately some of this will be resolved soon, at least enough of it that I’ll actually have the time to brush up my skills, polish the resume, and get back out into the job market. Might need a vacation first, though.
My levels of apathy have increased. And the amount of schadenfreude I have enjoyed has increased. Not towards others but I’ve been enjoying companies close down. For example I’ve stopped taking service calls, there’s a huge shortage of people that repair things, and well it leads to them shutting down.
