The problem is liberals think they know what socialism is. They think it’s fire departments and taxes, they think the Nordic model is socialism. They think social is not communism. They are as clueless about socialism as Republicans, and the oligarchy loves their ignorance. They will jump out of the frying pan and into the fire.
Still, moving the overton window towards social market econony, while still far, FAR from perfect is better than letting it slide further into fascism. I don’t think we can go around the other side.
