SNP claims that an independent Scotland inside the EU would see Scots £3,000 richer was dismissed as “utter mince” today.The party’s deputy leader Keith Brown made the assertion after Stanford University professor Nick Bloom claimed up to 8 per cent had been knocked off Britain’s GDP since leaving the EU — equivalent to £3,000 for every adult.

    £3k since brexit seems very under rated to me. We have gone nowhere but backwards since leaving the EU. Why would that be mince? Does he not understand what GDP is? It isn’t cash in your pocket, it is overall spend per person. Personal spending, governments spending, third sector spending all on our behalf. And, we’re lagging in growth of all of these since leaving the EU
