Do you know of another region commonly called simply “the South”, let alone one coping with invasive kudzu?
Everybody who lives in the North of somewhere refers to the rest of them as “the South”.
I worked for a man from India. He was from the south. No idea if they have kudzu in India or not.
Yes, but Americans act like their country is the center of the universe so anything below their middle point is “the South”.
Perhaps you would be happier unsubscribing from this community and subscribing to a forum dedicated to your particular country, where—hopefully—nobody would submit articles sourced from American publications, and where you could avoid suffering the pain of seeing the titles of said articles.
Rewind a bit further and ask who was naming places things like “the Far East”.
Pedantic.
And shallow.
