On Sunday, September 13, at 3:00 p.m., the ManiFiesta Belgique festival, held at the Wellington Racecourse in Oostende, Belgium, will host the event “Hands Off Cuba: Solidarity Against the Blockade,” dedicated to solidarity with the Cuban people and denouncing the U.S. embargo. The meeting will feature the participation of Ignacio Ramonet , former director of Le Monde diplomatique ; Peter Mertens , general secretary of the Party of Labour of Belgium (PVDA); Manolo De Los Santos , founder of The People’s Forum (USA); and Elier Ramírez , Cuban historian and deputy.
The event is part of the solidarity and advocacy spirit of ManiFiesta, a festival organized by the PVDA that combines music, culture, debates, and social activism. The 2026 edition will take place on September 12 and 13 at the ACEG Wellington Hippodrome in Oostende.
