corporate workers are part of a labor aristocracy and have petite bourgeois consciousness, they aren’t tricked into looking down on blue collar workers, it’s because they belong to a privileged group within the proletariat meant to be big consumers. also many white collar workers, especially in the imperial core, are straight up not productive and manage the bureaucracy of institutions which would not exist under socialism like finance for example.
