So. Many. Jumpcuts.
So. Little. Time. To. Process.
No. Time. For complete. Sentence.
But in all honesty, hate it as well. I actively skip videos because of that now even if the topic is interesting
I refuse to watch videos that want to draw out 3 sentences worth of information or often just their take on an issue.
Literacy>emotion, though one can drive more clicks in the short term.
What annoys me about mobile linux discourse is that people make it out to be some monolthic experiance.
She had a pretty bad time but doesn’t really make it clear that this is because of the device she’s using, instead if i watch this video with no prior knowledge i would take away that mobile linux just doesn’t work.
Yeah, you need to be very selective with the phone, model as most of the phones you can technically install PmOS on will be at best a tiny desktop pc afterwards.
Can’t watch YouTube, so what happened? She felt freedom but no nothing works anymore? No convenient cloud-services for everything?
She opened a Discord client and it didn’t work well on the phone as it is built for desktop use.
She then claimed all apps are just desktop apps, so she needed Waydroid.
Instead of just trying out things that are made to scale to various sizes… idk
Sounds like what I expected from an Apple-fan. As if something NEW and free would work a pleasantly smooth as some walled garden where just existing costs money and, more importantly, data.
Thanks for summing up.
She tried it on the Nothing Phone she had lying around, but a lot of phone features aren’t available for that model yet. So it was a mostly broken experience.
To be fair, she did stress pmOS is not quite ready for end-users, as the official site explains.
Sounds like what I would’ve expected coming from an Apple-fan. As if anything free would ever come close to the ball-fondling experience of living in a walled garden with iron locks. Thanks.
Unwatchable
How come
