Please do it. We know this government has a long history of breaking promises when it comes to veteran benefits. It would be the single most radicalizing thing you could do to an entire generation.

There is no amount of troops that will successfully invade Iran. Iran would massacre them as they attempt to get in.

By offering to eliminate these debts in return for voluntary service, Jaff suggests the Pentagon could build a military force substantial enough to confront Iran.

Why would people sign up to get massacred in exchange for some debt maybe forgiven by a duplicitous and unhinged administration.

The third, and most politically consequential move on Jaff’s anti-Iran agenda, is a deal with China that might ultimately involve the abandonment of Taiwan: “A Washington-to-Beijing understanding that guarantees Chinese access to Iranian oil under a post-conflict governance arrangement, in exchange for China withdrawing diplomatic and material support to Tehran. Beijing gets its supply insulated. Washington gets Tehran’s most consequential strategic partner off the board.”

However, Jaff concedes that such negotiations could potentially signal the end of the US government’s carefully-ambiguous commitments to help defend Taiwan, ultimately handing the Chinese Communist Party one of its most coveted geopolitical goals.

These people really live in another reality, don’t they. Why in the world would China take a deal that abandons a pivotal anti-imperialist geopolitical ally; a deal from one of the most untrustworthy entities in human history and something that would ruin their carefully built reputation by poising them as a selfish country that abandons allies in need to imperial capture.
