    But seriously, I’ve never seen that at a casino. I haven’t been to a ton, but I’ve been to quite a few.

    I’m surprised they still use coins, the handful of casinos I have been to over the past 10 years have slot machines that take cash in, but only give vouchers out. You can still go to the cashier to cash out even small vouchers for free, but who wants to do that for a small amount, when you can just take it to another machine and see if you are “luckier”?

    A well designed casino will siphon your money away naturally, so it doesn’t normally need to add additional friction between you and your cash.
