I also think it’s odd that we’ve allowed phone hardware to be tied to a specific version of an operating system, and once that’s obsolete, the phone is basically an insecure mess.
Imagine if your PC could only run one specific version of Windows…
Of course that’s not the case. You can install what you want on your PC.
