I don’t like infinite scroll.
Voyager (lemmy) has paged scroll and it let’s me.know when I’ve wasted enough time.
Unlike say, Instagram…
Respect the burrito.

I assume you could use syncthing to sync the notes.

That’s an interesting deck too. I assume it’s vintage.

Those speakers look like the purple things from Day of the Tentacle!

How long is a piece of string?
Really depends on what you install.
‘du -hs /usr /var’ to get a rough idea.

Next time make a partition ;)
The second meaning is a bit like “you are pushing your luck” or being unreasonable, usually at someone else’s expense.

Is your /home on a separate partition? If so, no need to copy anything.
If you really need to backup, I’d get a proper external disk, or failing that, backup to backblaze (or similar) and restore later.
At a pinch, you could tar it all up and copy it to a usb stick, if you have a big enough one to hand, but it’ll be slower.

I didn’t appreciate ES when I was younger, but their Mindsweep album made me appreciate them.

“Name your price” on bandcamp too!

Yeah, sun did some really cool stuff towards the end. ZFS, zones, SMF. I always liked their ALOM lights out management too. RIP sun.
My file server uses zfs on Linux.
As the other commenter says, GPL somewhat disagrees with the license. It flips the taint flag on the Linux kernel too.
I tried btrfs, but it’s not ready IMHO.

I have one of those in my loft. Used to use it for OpenBSD development.

Chuckles manically…

It sounds good tbh. Although basic (fixed cartridge, no tone arm lever, fixed tracking force), its actually pretty decent. Miles better than any of those suitcase players you see around.
It has a ATN3600L moving magnet cartridge and a conical stylus which can be upgraded to an eliptical one, if you so wish.
I like it because I can take it to any room in the house and listen. I have a battery powered headphone amp i use with it :)
And when I’m done, it packs away into its hard case:

Techmoan’s review:
Problem is, -o pipefail isn’t portable.

Another beautiful disk from the archives of BzzBiotch.

I discovered Ranges recently and managed to win an ebay auction for the album.
The post rock is stellar, and as a fan of ambient drone noises, the interludes really work for me too.
The record player is the audio technica SB727: aka the reissued sound burger.
Fully battery powered by a (replaceable and standard) 18650 battery. Built in preamp. Line out or Bluetooth. It’s great fun 😁

I suppose not everyone has the technical skills.

A tracker, in case you lose it.
Do it on-board with openbsd, if that’s your bag.
