In this case I believe MTG, we are headed for a nuclear war… and if and when the US drops a nuclear bomb on Iran, it is highly likely russia will respond by dropping a nuclear bomb on Ukraine in my opinion.

See this article from the Bulletin Of The Atomic for somebody else other than batshit crazy MTG warning that the US or Israel using nuclear weapons on Iran is a very real possibility.

Damn it’s like we should have seriously considered the ramifications of electing a demented pedo to be in charge of the nukes or something.

I still find it crazy that liberals were like the choice was 99% Hitler or 100% Hitler and then blame everyone who decided that that’s not a real choice. The only major difference between Trump and Kamala was how honest they would be about their policies. Trump didn’t care if you knew about the fascism creeping into your lives while Kamala was going to work real hard at making sure you didn’t know.

Look, over the last 25 years it was either embrace socialism — to prevent capitalism from crushing the working class back into abject poverty — or embrace fascism… Repeating the exact same mistake the libs of the Weimar republic made with Hitler, American libs chose to let the fascists radicalize society and overthrow democracy instead; now they get the fascist dictatorship they deserve. Tis a pity.

I think that a more accurate way to understand and contextualize Trump’s actions is through the lens of extreme Malignant Narcissism. His abusive sexuality is more a symptom of this, rather than a cause of his other types of abuse.

The guy is basically a walking singularity of abusive behavior. He is defined by it, embodied by it; roving the universe accreting money and attention, mitigated only by distance and time. People like Trump cannot stop, they must be stopped, or avoided. Everything they touch eventually escapes, or is consumed and utterly destroyed.

Children are just yet another victim of such a personality type.

I’m not sure I believe the “Jewish space lasers” crazy lady who wasn’t in congress when the war started and is an attention seeking gremlin.

I was far more concerned with Trumps “a civilization will end” rant but I think he was bluffing, was talked down, or realized launching a nuke will fuck up the markets and his money.

Either way Trump must be removed and the GOP razed to the ground.

I figured we were already there when Trump gave that “Tomorrow, a country will be wiped off the face of the map” ultimatum, earlier this year. Figured someone must’ve talked him down from it.

The only country to have ever used nuclear weapons against another country, is considering using nuclear weapons against Iran, because… Iran is supposedly close to creating its own nuclear weapons, and God only knows what it might use them for.

We are talking about nuclear war here, and you condescend your own humanity by dismissing the danger here so carelessly.

Yes MTG is batshit crazy, nothing about my post is meant to suggest otherwise, there is a clear and present danger being pointed out here beyond a discussion of her…

Because she’s connected with the other crazies surrounding Trump.

I have been bracing myself for waking up to news of a nuclear bomb against Iran for weeks even without her warning. Trump’s narcissistic personality won’t allow him to accept a loss. So if he can’t find another way to save face a nuke is very much what I’d expect. And nobody is going to stop him either.

It’s pretty frustrating that this wacky cunt gets to be the voice of reason after helping to build the MAGA house of lies, but here we are.

If the United States used even a smaller “tactical” nuclear weapon in Iran, beyond crushing humanity with an act of unspeakable evil that the world would become obliged to somehow mitigate, it would instantly plunge us into a dark period which in which the use of nuclear arms in conventional conflict becomes acceptable. It would become almost impossible to prevent sharp escalations into fully regional or global nuclear war.

The threat of ubiquitous nuclear annihilation from the Cold War has not gone away. There are more than enough planetary-scale weapons and delivery systems to destroy every city in the world of significant size or population, and render most of the earth uninhabitable for thousands of years.

The effects of these weapons cannot be understated, and there are people now high up in the US nuclear chain of command who are either too stupid or too crazy to fully grasp the implications of their use.

What scares me the most is these people understand one thing very well, if they drop a nuclear bomb on Iran it will obliterate any previous nuance to this war and make their political lives far easier, it will also help Putin by giving him effective permission to use a nuclear weapon on Ukraine, and Putin is Trump’s daddy.

It would almost certainly trigger extreme sanctions against the US by most of the world. Iran’s demands for regime change in the US would become the world’s demands.

I suspect Putin would use it to negotiate and get a good deal to end the Ukraine war.

Trump has always been desperate to drop a nuclear weapon. He’s like a child.

He wants to do it because he thinks he should be allowed to. He’s excited about the possibility of killing so many people. He wants to be remembered as one of the two presidents who dropped a nuclear bomb.

Let’s rewind here to 1945. USA did not drop two bombs on civilian targets to stop WWII, it was already over. They dropped two bombs to warn the world not to start WWIII and establish US military dominance and empirialism.

Now in 2026, would Donald Trump kill millions of people just to establish dominance? Would Pete Hegseth carry out that order?

and I pine for the days where I didn’t see a clear and present danger of escalation towards nuclear war.

I was born after the fall of the soviet union, but even that period… I don’t know if the incentives so heavily lined up to use nuclear weapons as they do now for the top leadership of the US and Israeli governments according to their politics, ideologies and vulnerabilities.

Alarmingly I don’t think this will escalate past a tit for tat use of tactical nuclear weapons, the US and Israel on Iran and russia on Ukraine… or at least I don’t think the people in decision making positions believe it will… which paradoxically makes escalation far more likely.

We are in an opposite position to Mutually Assured Destruction/MAD, if the US and Israel nuke Iran it puts their enemies and vassal states back in line, and if russia nukes Ukraine, that also forces Ukraine back in line and increases russia’s leverage on the entire region. For the powerful, this is a potential way to indirectly establish a bargain to force their underclasses and vassal states back into more subservient positions, I am not saying this will happen, but the incentive structure is downright murderous in my opinion right now. What better way for empires to forestall multipolarity?

MTG may have seen the light but she’s still an unreliable person to listen too. I’d say there’s less than 5% we’d actually cross this line because China and Russia deplomates told them if America crossed that line they would come to the defense of Iran fully. Meaning this is likely a leak intended to scare Iran.

I agree with your assessment. We will see nuclear fire in 2026 and/or 2027. It was always going to end that way, because it only needs one tiny spark to ignite and the entire world is currently on fire.

Humanity had a good run of it, but we fucked it all up. May whatever comes after do better.
