Prime Minister Peter Magyar said on Sunday that he would ask Judit Polgar, widely regarded as the greatest female chess player of all time, to take up the largely ceremonial role of Hungary’s next President.
Magyar said in a Facebook post that Polgar, 49, could represent the nation’s unity, and that on Monday he would meet Polgar and ask her if she would accept the nomination.

Sounds like a smart move to pick someone from outside the political establishment who nevertheless engenders a grounded national pride and sense of achievement
I feel like it is a very positive symbol, although I don’t know much about Hungarian political system, I don’t know what are the roles and powers of the President in Hungary.
