Here’s the thing I don’t get about this…
All the public facing reasoning for the $600 million number (was $500 million 2 years ago then Trump tariffs screwed inflation) is that “it’s old.”
Well, that’s not exactly a reason.
How many millions do you need to completely re-work the HVAC system because of climate change?
That would be a number and a reason people could get behind.
You want money to replace the TV sets in the VIP boxes because “they are old”? Get outta here!
Yeah but widdle billionaire needs public funding so he can sell more boxes to corporate overlords for higher margin, and the general public, who can barely afford the time let alone the money to attend this private event are supposed to shoulder the cost?
