The state party could have decided that any process that didn’t allow voters to get a say would be fatally compromised. It did not.
I’m just so tired of the Dems deciding that someone is too radical for them and twisting the rules so that they can put their own chosen person in place. Remember Bernie? Remember David Hogg? They’re too scared of the right to stand up to them, and too scared of the left not to stand up to them, and I’ll just so fucking sick of them.
Amen
They couldn’t just hold a primary? At least they’re avoiding the Biden/Harris debacle of just anointing a replacement.
its essentially the same thing as appointing the candidate. The state reps will choose how the convention is run and how the candidate is selected. There will inevitably be “superdelegate” party insiders whose vote counts for 10,000 voters, or something like that.
So of the 3 top dem candidates it’ll be the zionist centrist (Shenna Bellows) they pick via convention, since she cant win with Dem voters. They must be terrified that progressive Troy Jackson would win on the Dem side, and this is the DNC’s way they eliminate him. Jackson was leading in polling of Dem candidates after Platner dropped out.
