The iPhone maker is seeking to buy memory components from ChangXin Memory Technologies and Yangtze Memory Technologies for use in devices sold in China, according to people familiar with the matter.
Tim Cook has surrendered Apple to China long time ago. More than 80% of iPhone are still made in China, even though Cook was trying to move production to India in the recent couple of years. It’s essentially a Chinese company dependent on the regime’s decision. If they want Apple to buy in China, they need to buy in China.
man that is very reductive of you. Do understand how supply chain functions and a lot of considerations go in picking a supplier, across the globe.
China is the one who arent being greedy monopolistic about ram and ssds, despite the trend showing it. And if you run a company and a supplier is china says yes to your heavy usage and needs, wont you being a deal?
Labour, tech, reduced risks, all are variables to pick a market. India isnt good politically for giant tech in comparison with China.
Hope you read on these things.
