The longer I live, the more I feel that life just isn’t worth it. I have no thoughts of suicide or anything like that, but if I died and some cosmic being were to ask me “Do you want to go again?” I would say no.

Life has beauty, and love, and joy, and so many wonderful emotions, but it is also marred by an abundance of pain, suffering, fear, boredom, and misery. To me, the negatives outweigh the positives. We struggle so long and hard for scraps of fleeting joy before being sucked back into tediousness.

I am no longer comforted by the thought of brighter days ahead when I can still see the storm clouds brewing behind them.

Joy not only feeling of moment. Joy is memory you can remember and feel again.

Bad day only need to live once. Good day you can live again and again in memory.

negativity bias is actually a caveman-evolved thing is something I was told.

I was told that when people remembered a negative experience again and again and again and again back in the caveman days it made it easier to avoid that negative experience. So The cavemen and women that remembered that 'THIS is the plant that killed Krooga ’ or rembered ‘Oh we cant go over there cause that place is full of cliffs and cave-cover-collapse sinkholes’ or ‘damn, that cougar looks kinda biiig. JUST as big as the cougar that killed my girlfriend/dad/whoever. Guess we wont hunt it. We’ll hunt something smaller’ tended to be the ones who lived and reproduced the most often since they were the ones who typically avoided lethal dangers the most.

Negativity bias isnt a completely bad thing…uhh in some cases. Its a becomes good thing whene it helps to prevent you from getting back into experiences that can lead to your pain or greivous wounds again. It becoems self-destructive when you start to see it as a reason to just do nothing at all, even things that could help you.

“The challenge of modernity is to live without illusions and without becoming disillunioned. I’m a pessimist because of intelligence, but an optimist because of will.” - Antonio Gramsci

I mean I don’t dress happy but I try and enjoy the heck out of every moment I have to experience nature or interact or just be. Enjoy food and shelter and such.
