The simulation that is society, all of its quirks and deadly foibles, is just a game we collectively play. It is an elaborate fiction. We can change the rules at any time. But the vast majority of humanity will simply never let go or they aren’t mentally competent or are so enamored with some kind of manufactured culture, they are blind to the manipulation. And it is depressing af to be trapped on planet no-imagination. We could have fully automated gay space communism. We can imagine such a future. But no, we’re hellbent on realizing 80s-90s dystopian scifi. Because people are shitty. Like a significant chunk of them and why we have so many fucking weapons. And I think humanity is doomed to struggle with this, eternally. For thousands of years of recorded history the same rhyming horseshit continues to happen again and again and again. We can’t help it. There will always be some shithead somewhere that can always convince an always present bunch of idiots to do stupid shit. And I’m tired, boss.
