No offense, but that’s a pretty privileged place to be in. I would love to say ‘no’ and to be at peace. But the truth is, for most people you are competing with others, and you don’t really have a choice. Whether for a scholarship, a job, an affordable home, a promotion, etc, it’s a constant part of life for workers…
Half-agree w/ you. I mean u have a point, but even regular folks have some room for saying no. Just less than him.
Id be more nuanced on competition, which is partly mental.
