I agree with Scott about everyone being at Eleven.
Labor saved us during the GFC and still know how to manage an economy better than their opponents in this two party system.
The moat annoying whingers are the ones decrying taxes on the top 10%. The best times throughout the last century were when the boomers were young and the taxes on the wealthy were ~94%.
Times got shit when conservative politicians canned those tax rates,it’s only got so much shitter ever since, and it’ll keep getting shit until the top 10% or even top 1% actually pay their fair share in tax.
American economist John Galbraith has an excellent book on this, where he mostly blames “us”, the vast middle class. While his analysis is based on the US, it is eerily similar to Australia.

that aside i’d not used the word fair at all,. they literally argue what they pay is more than fair. I’d argue you can’t have a stable democracy if there is significant inequality, so it’s fundamental to the preservation of our society.
That aside, we’re getting even. more stupidity, see the rise of the ONP. This will only get worse, more and more Trumpian levels of stupidity is on its way.
Yeah, seeing the rise of white nationalism in Australia is an unpleasant sight. I’ve lost friends to that ideology. The ones you’d never think would go down that path.
