More than 100 activists on aid ships attempting to break Israel’s naval blockade of Gaza have been released on the Greek island of Crete after being detained by Israeli authorities.

Six Australians were among those released on the island, with three of them being taken to hospital with cuts and bruises, and a possible concussion.
