My parents new place is lovely
The black cat returned yesterday after a few weeks of not seeing him and he’s looking a lot healthier. The bald patches are gone so hopefully he’s been treated, the fur is starting to grow back a bit under his chin so maybe they’re using the spot ons, and the fur on his body is thick and shiny so looks like they’ve been giving him the higher quality food I left them.
He was dancing and jumping up on things, I got three tail hugs in the 20 minutes I spent fussing him. But he hissed and whopped me for touching his upper back. Fingers crossed this new soreness means he got vaccinated or even a new microchip (because he’d been showing as ‘no tag’ on two different microchip scanners - forgot to tell them). Maybe that explains the limp he had a few weeks ago.
He was asking to be fed and to be let inside but I’ve told him the food is at home with his owners, and that he can’t go in. I also showered and washed my clothes after just in case.
It’s a relief to not be fully responsible for him and see signs that he’s okay. That’s all I wanted. I’ll pat him when I see him but will probably continue to focus on myself getting rest and sleep because I am knackered.
It’s great to hear you don’t have to be the only one looking after him. You can just enjoy a cat visitor instead
Great news. Hopefully it’s one less mental burden too.
Yes, I really hope this is sorted
and so good to see you here too 🐱
Cleaned out the garage for hard rubbish pickup.
Cleaned the house right after.
Highpoint trip.
Nap.
Dinner.
Chilling now.
Suburban Saturday completed.
Start my first rspca shift tomorrow.
Should be interesting. Everyone seems super nice.
Warm days that cool down as soon as the sun sets. The sun has been glorious. 🌞
Ever wanted to go on a combi camping trip in a utopia? Well, Outbound is that game.
It is a chill af survival game, single or multiplayer (I’m playing single player because partner’s PC is too fronkensteen to run it), and it’s great. Slow paced, no enemies, no stress, and a friendly dog companion (obtained in the second area). Just collect resources, find collectibles, appreciate the tranquility, and upgrade the combi base building. There are some simple skill trees (one for the van, of for yourself, and one for the dog companion).
I haven’t made it past map 2 yet, and I certainly didn’t find all the gnomes or cairns in the first map. It’s just a fucking chill as game. Devs are updating constantly with qol and content (fishing and fish tanks, more wildlife, and NPCs are coming this year. It is early access but I’ve slapped a solid 20 hours into it since it released this week. Bit exxy for an early access, but I personally found it worth it so far.
Edit: my specs are
- Intel i5-9400f
- 8gb ram
- GTX 1050ti (holy shit installing the latest legacy security driver for this was PAINFUL)
Looks cool
It is! I definitely recommend it for zoning out and just vibing
I saw this come up. How different is it to RV There Yet?
Sounds more chill and less about working through a very specific situation
There seems to be a vague goal of meeting everyone at a festival, however I’m not sure if that’s just placeholder as NPCs are yet to be added.
Other than that, you travel around the map repairing some points of interest (eg, a windmill, a lighthouse, etc), and survive off the land. Gather resources for upgrading gear and base and tools, can feel a tad repetitive going around but it’s offset by the serene vistas and interesting landscapes. There always seems to be something off in the distance that looks interesting and can be checked out. Tbh I haven’t played rv there yet. I just played the demo for outbound like 2 weeks ago and bought the game based off that loool
Slow paced, no enemies, no stress, and a friendly dog companion
sounds nice 🙂
It really is! Very peaceful and cosy! The lighting makes the world look absolutely stunning at dawn and dusk, and I stg they recorded actual thunder and lightning or something because of boy does it sound real lol
8.5/10 for an early access game, knocked points off because the world can feel a little bit empty, but from the Devs roadmap that will be rectified during the updates this year.
*Spends 7 hours tidying up a virtual library. Looks at IRL washing basket that needs folding. * “… pass.”
It has been 3 weeks since I stopped lollies and gaviscon
i no longer want lollies at all
Good night everyone, sweet dreams 😘
I just realised there are only 4 pays left until the new financial year. How does time pass so quickly? I need to start counting my tax-return eggs so I’m ready when they hatch…
Did not expect to hear the Jurassic Park Theme Song on ABC Classical, but okay!! Gave me a giggle.
It’s symphonic/instrumental so I suppose it counts.
Going out to the ren faire today. My girlfriend has made us all outfits so let’s see how things go
Getting dressed up is so fun, I hope you have a great time!!
It was more for the girlfriend but the kids had fun as well
Please tell me you’ve got a big swoopy cloak
We had gnome hats and the rest of the family had half capes. For the first 15 minutes we got around like this:
Have a great time Robin Hood.
Where da hose at?
Miss Seagoon just dropped off the car and stayed for lunch. 🙂😘🥰🐱
and she asked if I had some writing paper 😐 she asked a calligrapher if they had writing paper
gave her a block of lovely Italian coloured papers for fountain pen and some hand made with flower petals
Off to Mornington today. Good times
End of week 2:
Pretty decent. Still the honeymoon period. Owner/my manager is chill.
Having money is also great.
Off to get some new headphones to replace the ones that I accidentally left out in the rain.
Enjoy your day :)
