    I honestly can’t remember which year it was when I last heard the term “oldie” for a music video but that music video happened to be exactly “Livin’ la Vida Loca”.

    I know that in the 90s we considered the 50s-60s to be oldies, so if we do the math… Fuck. I’m an oldie.

    Never. Because the term oldie has become really heavily associated with specific decades moreso than how old they are. That said, I think based on the amount of time it’s one. I remember them saying “oldies” about from from the '70s like twenty years ago.

    My history professor in college used to always say that anything in the past thirty years isn’t history, it’s news. I’m not necessarily sure I agree, but it’s an interesting perspective. I’m not sure it’s relevant here lol but maybe sort of.

      that’s what i thought , my gf listens to Internet radio while she is in the kitchen, she likes a German “Golden Oldies” channel. It plays Pet Shop Boys… i was gutted :(
