“I’ve never heard the word Ayatollah in my entire life. Venezuela? Isn’t that in Spain?”

While Trump wants to lead his youth into a war against Iran where they will face certain death, young people in the US can’t even locate Iran on a map and live in complete ignorance.

This is capitalist society, where consumerism and ignorance are fostered so that the powerful can kill and steal whatever they want without anyone even caring.

This has got to be rage bait. Like come on, I don’t expect much but there’s no way these aren’t clips that are farmec out of likely hundreds.

It’s pretty accurate for the spring break demographic: Rich americans and the whole “nuke the entire region” is also very common with Americans as well. Heard that all the time after 9/11

It is rage bait, but it’s also reality. Americans, as a whole, do not know or care about anything that happens abroad or even about most things locally.

Agreed that most Americans don’t usually care, however in my experience (which I’ll admit is mostly other college age and middle aged individuals) there’s at least some level of understanding that some shit is happening.

To me this video from Fox more likely seems to be trying to paint American youth as flippant and deviant, while being mostly ignorant to the Fox audience. Whereas as frankly it’s more likely to see this kind of ignorance from people among the ages of 30-60, albeit in a manner that’s less crass.

I don’t say this to defend Americans, I’ve expressed frustration about the ignorance of other statesians myself, but to point out how this interview doesn’t exactly point out reality eitheir. The tropes I’ve seen played out among US Americans differ from this.

I mean yeah, I’m assuming this is Miami during spring break. It’s where all the failsons and daughters go to get shit faced for a week before returning to the classes they’re failing in.

Not a great representation of the entirety of the american youth, but in my experience a lot of them think it’s funny to be uninformed. Knowing anything about politics makes you lose aura bro

Gonna be honest, now that I know they’re in Florida, this video makes a lot more sense.

The average californian is annoying as fuck, but I’ve never heard a complete drivel of a reaction as in this video. Though I also don’t spend much of any time around inebriated people.
